Our Policies

In order to alleviate any confusion or misunderstanding regarding your reservation, it is Eagle Cliff Inn policy to accept all reservation requests VIA our secured website from November – April, or through direct verbal contact with Inn Keeper.  Your reservation will not be confirmed until a confirmation is sent to you by Inn Keeper and received by guest, or verbal contact is made and confirmed by Inn Keeper.

MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENT:

Rooms require 2-Night Minimum for most Weekends Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sunday.

Suites & Cottages require 3-Night Minimum stay for most Weekends, Rooms,

Suites & Cottages require a 3-Night Minimum all Holiday Weekends

Rooms, Suites & Cottages require 3-Night Minimum for All July Weekends

NOTE:  If a less than minimum stay is approved, a $50 per evening Surcharge will be added to your rate.

DEPOSIT: A pre-payment Deposit of the 1st night reserved, or 50% for three or more nights reserved, is required to confirm your reservation. Please know that the 1st night reserved will then be issued to your credit card 1-week prior to your stay with us.  The remaining may be paid upon your arrival.  If a cancellation or no call no show, unfortunately the remaining 50% will be charged.  The payment may be paid by check, but must be received within five days after your reservation is made. Until received, a hold for the 1st night will be issued on Guest Credit Card. Final payment may be made at the time of check-in.  We accept VISA / MasterCard / Discover / American Express. VERY IMPORTANT: Debit Cards are used in place of a checking account. Debit Cards may be offered as Deposit at Guest’s Discretion, though Please Understand…this Deposit will take away from your daily balance. Due to this, we unfortunately are not responsible for Guest’s credit card overdraft.  More so, decline of a credit / debit card will result in cancellation of reservation.

In order to alleviate any confusion regarding credit card information on our secured reservation system, we do not require any person to leave their credit card number if only inquiring about a room, suite and/or cottage availability. The reason for this is that quite a few inquirers are doing just that, only inquiring. Inquirers usually only want to know if a room, suite and/or cottage is available, but not necessarily interested in reserving. We do, however, require a credit card number if you are requesting a reservation…(but not inquiring). This protects you by having a confirmed reservation at our Inn, and protects our Inn by ensuring you are serious about your reservation, and paying for your reservation. However, please understand that you will not receive a Confirmed Reservation without a Credit Card number, thus another guest may reserve your room, suite and/or cottage choice prior to you. If you are interested in reserving a room, suite and/or cottage, kindly review our availability calendar prior to requesting a reservation.

GUEST CREDIT CARD DEPOSIT DECLINE:  As Eagle Cliff Inn accepts your VALID credit card as an Authorization Deposit for your stay, we do not charge the pre-payment Deposit on a guest’s credit card until 1-week prior to your stay.  As a Promise between you and Eagle Cliff Inn, we agree to hold a room for you upon your arrival, while you agree that your credit card will be VALID to charge for the 1st night, or 50% for more than a 3-night reservation 2-weeks prior to your stay at Eagle Cliff Inn.  Please know that it is your responsibility to contact Eagle Cliff Inn with any ‘new’ credit card you will be using for your Deposit.  However, if for any reason your credit card is declined, we will try to contact you by both the email and your Home or Cell Phone number provided upon your reservation request to inform you of this Decline.  Failure to make contact with you will result in your reservation being cancelled, and then your accommodation being re-rented.  If you then chooses to  re-instate your reservation, or make a future reservation, your credit card will be immediately charged for the 1st night of your requested stay.

CANCELLATIONS: A 1st night deposit, or 50% deposit for a 3-evening or more reservation, is required.  Any reservation made and cancelled within our 24-hour Grace Period, exception being a same day reservation, will incur No Cancellation Fee.  Any cancellation made within 1-week of your reserved stay will forfeit the entire rental. Your credit card will be charged and your room/suite/cottage re-rented. Up to a $50 Credit will then be issued for a future stay at our Inn.  Further, once again, please note that we are not responsible for guest’s credit card overdraft. All cancellations must be made by speaking with an Inn Keeper and receiving Oral or Written confirmation of the cancellation. We are not responsible for messages left on voice mail or by e-mail. No Exceptions, Please.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT: Our Check-In time is between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm, or by special arrangement. If for any reason we are unavailable upon your check-in, arrangements will be made for pick-up of your keys.  Our Check-Out time is 11:00 am. Your on-line reservation credit card will serve as your Security Deposit, thus will be held on file as a Security Deposit. A $50 removal of items charge will be accessed to Guest credit card for any room and/or cottage not vacated by 11:30 am day of confirmed departure. A full day Room and/or Cottage charge will be assessed for any items not removed from the Room and/or Cottage after 1:00 pm, unless special arrangement is made prior to 11:00 am. A Complimentary parking area for all vehicles is located on the West Side of the Inn. Motorcycles may be stored in our covered boat-storage upon request. Boats and/or Jet-Ski’s may be parked behind the storage building. Unfortunately we can not accommodate Motor Homes.  Unless prior arrangements are made, parties not arriving by 6:00 am the day following your reserved date will be considered a no-call no-show, thus your Room/Cottage will be re-rented, and the full rental amount will be accessed to your credit card.

DAMAGE: There will be a minimum $50 fee for any missing or damaged items in the Inn, Suites and/or cottages, including a charge for that item. There will, as well, be a Cleaning Fee for any Excessive Cleaning in your Room/Suite/Cottage.  A picture will be taken and mailed to you along with a receipt for the or damaged item.

As we are a Non-Smoking establishment (per State Law), the Local Fire Department will issue a citation and a $200 Cleaning Fine will be accessed to credit card for smoking inside of the Inn (including bedrooms and bathrooms)…this includes Smoking out of Open Windows.

This $200 charge will be assessed to guest credit card on file for any room proven to be smoked in.  Once the room, suite or cottage is cleaned, a receipt will be mailed within 2-days of departure.  Once the keys are returned to Eagle Cliff Inn, a credit will then be made to guest credit card.  Once the room, suite or cottage is cleaned, a receipt will be mailed within 2-days of departure.  Once the keys are returned to Eagle Cliff Inn, a credit will then be made to guest credit card.

Guest Policies

For our Guests’ comfort, due to the Age of our Inn, Suites & Cottages, for Safety Reasons, and in Accordance with Ohio State Law #3701-52-02, we are Non-Smoking. An area is provided on BOTH our 1st Floor Front Porch and 2nd Floor Back Porch for smokers, however, please refrain from smoking Pipes and Cigars, as they are not permitted anywhere on the property.  Failure to follow this policy will result in a $200 Cleaning Fine charged to Guest’s Credit Card immediately upon departure. A receipt will then be mailed to the guest at the address provided upon their reservation request.

The Inn is appropriate for Couples and Adult Guests Only with a two-person maximum per room, while Cottages are appropriate for Couples, Adult Guests and/or small Families. For Guests staying in the Inn, Fresh Towels and Toiletries are provided daily upon request. Also provided is complimentary Coffee, Tea and Juice, Toast and Fresh Fruit served in the parlor beginning at 7:00 am, though a Kurig Machine is provided for anytime hot beverages.  A Full hot-baked breakfast, including fresh fruit & muffins will be served each morning at 9:00 am, unless otherwise requested. A full size Refrigerator Filled with Ice, Bottled Water, and Juice is also Complimentary.

Our Township Park with Grassy (Beach) is located within one (1) block East of the Inn, while the State Park Beach, Breakers Beach, is located with one (1) mile west of the Inn. For Guests convenience, Beach Towels may be provided. Local Restaurant and Attraction brochures are available at the Inn, as well.

Although we Love our pets, unfortunately none are permitted to Vacation here.
